Hey guys,
Thanks to everyone that came down to the taster earlier, it was a fantastic day! If you couldn’t make it today, don’t worry, we have another taster session on tomorrow at the Boat Hard (see below for details and a map).
You can turn up at any time from 10am – 3pm. We’ll have multiple sessions throughout the day, so don’t worry if you can’t make it at the beginning. There will be a free shuttle bus running every 30 minutes from the concourse, just outside the Stag’s (look for the person walking in or around the Stag’s with a paddle!). If you live in Monte, it’s a 5 minute walk down the road towards the park, just follow the signs. We’ll then do our best to get you on the water, play some games and give you an intro to kayaking. Don’t forget we will provide all your specialist kit, you simply need to bring a change of clothes that you don’t mind getting wet, a towel and some old/wetsuit shoes if you have them. We’ll also have a free BBQ with tea/coffee/cake! It’s going to be an awesome day, so come down and have some fun!
To go on the water, you must be able to swim 50m for safety reasons.
Feel free to bring along your housemates, flatmates, friends along to the day, even if they didn’t sign up at the bunfight. Everyone’s invited.
For more information, go to our FAQ page. If you couldn’t come this weekend but would still like to join the club or see what we’re about, never fear, our Freshers Intro Meeting is on Wednesday 3rd October at 6.30pm, more info on our website. If you haven’t already, join our fresher facebook group to keep up to date with our events.
We look forward to seeing you there!
