We welcome members with any level of experience - most of our new members have never been in a boat before or have only been on the water on school activity days! With membership we will help you learn how to kayak, providing equipment, friendship and great nights out! The canoe club is one of the most active in the university and has a great social atmosphere if you're not planning on getting wet every week - there really is something for everyone.
Membership is currently £50 per year (although we offer a £5 discount for signing up during Freshers' Week), which includes all the training sessions and use of our equipment. If you are also interested in joining Canoe Polo, we offer a reduced 'joint' membership at £85 (with a £10 discount during Freshers' Week).
To get membership, click the link above then scroll down to the 'membership fee information' section and tick the membership (on the right hand side) that you want. Then click 'Join selected memberships' and payment can be done online by card.
A Sports and Wellbeing membership is required for participation in the weekly river and pool sessions, this is free for 2022-23, available here. If you have your own boat you are welcome to store it at the University Boathard for a small fee (insurance is also available).
