Frog Frigate
The Frog and Frigate
Near ocean village, rather good fun! There's sawdust on the floor and Dancing on tables while singing to some classic songs played by a man and his guitar (the 'man' varies depending on dates!)
It all happens on Friday Nights, which usually include a pub crawl from the StandingOrder. Derek, and Gary play some weeks, you can check
HERE to see what's on.
An essential part of the Frog Survival kit is to know some of the more special traditions to do with the venue. First of all it is imperative that you start chanting Stairway at the man with the guitar. This is in reference to Stairway to Heaven. If the bloke with guitar has any sense he wont play it but it is what tradition demands. Second during such songs as Nelly the elephant and Yellow submarine you should be shouting abuse at the poor bloke with a guitar. To discover the correct form of abuse follow the older members of the club. Finally getting on and off the tables is very easy with a bit of help from your friends. The amount of help you get getting off the tables is proportional to how helpful you have been to other people; push someone off and they are likely to very kindly help you to the floor exceedingly quickly!
How to get there
See
Google Maps.
The U1 and U6 stop on Queen's Terrace opposite Dock Gate 4, and from here you can walk along Canute road, it's just past the Ocean Village Junction.
